SWPL Player of the Week: JASA U23s Esteban Perla

LA MIRADA, CA (NOV. 16, 2022) – JASA U23 goalkeeper Esteban Perla has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Born in Redwood City, CA, Perla had 10 saves in a 2-0 victory over Modesto City FC in a Pacific Premier 2022/23 Season match on Saturday, Nov. 12. Perla was flawless in between the pipes as JASA U23 (2-2-3 overall) moved up in the Men's First Division table.

Perla, 22, played and graduated from Junipero Serra HS in San Mateo, CA, before matriculating to Menlo College in Atherton, CA. Perla has three clean sheets and played all seven matches for JASA U23 this season. 

The SWPL Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
